It's the new year, and you know what that means... New profile picture!
(Also, it means the release of the Monthly Post Archive for December, but that's less important.)
Like I implied in the tags, this is kind of a weak first entry. It's just me advertising the previous Monthly Post Archive. However, this is an archive, so I'm not just gonna skip over a post (unless it's a repost/reblog; it's Chillin time, baby). Let's get to some real holiday mayhem.
the best part of december are the "santa deniers" memes it's not truly the holiday season without darwin claus evolving down the chimney

I've technically posted this one to Tumblr (and Cohost) already, but this was my first December on Bluesky, so I felt I needed to port the post over there.
Oh my god, I forgot they shot that CEO this month. That feels like last year, and, no, that's not a New Years pun. I'm writing this on December 31st, 2024.
Anyway, this post is about that old CEO of Swag meme that I only know because one of my friends kept replaying it over and over again while we were playing a Garry's Mod cinema map.

(It's also referencing the assassination, but I feel like I outlined that already.)

I haven't heard any of the three recommended songs—they might be totally Twelve-Days-of-Christmas-coded, but I doubt it. In fact, this is probably a conspiracy by Genius to try to make me listen to Drake and Mitski.
I'm gonna be honest here: this was initially not going to be a shitpost. I wanted to make a post criticizing how people talk about fandoms they aren't in (with more nuance than I'm illustrating here), but then I got to the "mic drop" and, without thinking, turned it into a punchline, and decided this was the post now.
As someone who doesn't hate Jar Jar, I don't really care about most of the Special Edition changes. Do I think we should also have the original theatrical versions available on official releases of the original trilogy? Obviously, I'm making an archive here.
Like, I don't care that Hayden Christensen is in Return of the Jedi. Hell, I don't even care about who shot first. But, holy shit, I fucked hate changing Lapti Nek to Jedi Rocks.
(I know this post is, on the surface, about the weird, incestuous oversights plaguing the original trilogy, but, as the person who wrote this post and then spent the next few days angrily thinking about that on Jedi Special Edition change, this post, to me, is about Lapti Nek.)
This is continuing my long-standing bit of hyping Traversal up when the Game Awards happen.
This bit is the sequel bit to when I would go on the internet and lie that the next fighter coming to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate was going to be me. Like just Chillin as a fighter. I obviously wrapped this bit up after Sora's announcement, since I couldn't quote retweet any upcoming fighter reveals with my stupid edits, but in a world where I'm more committed, there are, like, ten fake Chillin-in-Smash leaks in this month's Monthly Post Archive alone.
This is why E flat is peak. It's in every Chillin-related theme I've composed.

(I definitely didn't transpose any of these melodies to E flat Major for this post. You can't prove anything.)

Ah, it's the rare repost. (I figured this one has enough Chillin lore to warrant putting it in here.)
It was only long after posting this that I realized the eight measures shown of Cry, Why Don't You? are actually just the first four measures doubled. Could I have cut this down? Maybe. Does anyone care? No, I never released that song. I actually notably haven't seemingly released any Chillin-related music since 2017 according to this image. I should probably start... I'll do it next year. (It is 2025 as of me writing this part though.)
I don't usually post about my dreams, and maybe this is a sign I should just decide altogether to stop posting about my dreams.
What? This is it for the Monthly Post Archive? Damn.
Well, that's all for December and for 2024. I hope, if you're reading this in their RSS Feed, that you have a wonderful 2025. Anyone else is dead to me, I think.
