I write these introductions before I actually compile the posts, so, this may be wrong, but I feel like I did a lot of long-form posting this month. While every post was published to both Tumblr and Bluesky, longer posts had to be broken up into several posts on Bluesky with its 300-character limit. So, I'm gonna assume most of these are gonna be Tumblr embeds. (Though, they do exist on Bluesky if you wanted to find them there!)
This spurred from me seeing a lot of people posting the same "2026 will be my year" memes and, while I admit a lot of them are purely in jest, there's definitely a sentiment of "2025 is gonna undeniably suck" tied to a lot more of them. Since I made this post, there has been a fair amount of bad news from the US, and the notion that "it's only been a month" has been often repeated because, yeah, it's scary, but 2025 is not gonna be 365 days of getting your shit rocked by a fuckawful government. You will prevail through 2025 to 2026, and you will keep prevailing to 2027 onward. There is so much time left in the year, and even now, as I write this, (and whenever you're reading this), there's still time — in whichever year you're reading this during — to make it your year, in spite of everything.
On a much less political note, I released the new demo build of Traversal! I knew I wanted to get an update out for the new year, and, with the second island being just barely unfinished, I realized if I couldn't release the second island, I might as well release an updated version of the demo with all of the minor to major changes I'd made to the preexisting content.
(I know this is technically not a post from the "Chillin" account, but we make the occassional exception here at the Monthly Post Archive.)
If you followed me on Cohost, you'll recognize this Minecraft-snapshot-posting. I did this a lot during the 1.21 update cycle, and I don't know why. I just like talking about the game I've been playing since 2013, but my way of posting makes it seem like either I'm a Minecraft update account or that I'm being paid by Mojang to hype up the snapshots when, in reality, unless it's Minecraft Live, I don't really post shit like "WHOAA!! LEAVES AND FLOWERS?! NEW PIGS VARIANTS?? AND LODESTONES USE IRON NOW!?" because I just find the new stuff kinda cool and not, like, all-caps-level exciting.
(Though I did restrain myself from talking about 25w05a since I did want to avoid further becoming a Minecraft update account.)
Writing this post is how I found out that modern text dumps of the Bee Movie Script correctly have Barry B. Benson's "Coming!" from his first scene written as "Coming!" instead of as "Ooming!"
Additional fun fact about this dream, my two fellow heisters were Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon and we were breaking into a Separatist base. Now, I didn't mention any of this within the post itself because, while it paints the focus on the font within the dream as even more absurd, I felt like it distracted from the main point of Arimo's similarities to Arial and Helvetica.
Unfortunately, I have the same ability to "yes, and" as a child who's just been told something obviously false; immediately readying her "no!!" response.

(But, look, okay, I'm really funny when I don't have to "yes, and"! Trust me, I swear! They still call me the Funny One, I promise!)

Yeah, this is a post about Cars 2. They should do it again.
Even then, it'd still be a huge waste of money, and most of us would still call it the Twitter Truck.
Oh my God, what the hell? There were even fewer posts this month compared to last month! Uh, I guess I'll see you in February where I annotate and share my one post for that month.
(Also, I was entirely on-the-money about the whole mostly-using-Tumblr-embeds thing. Go me!)
